The Purpose and Importance of an
Occupational Safety and Health Audit
The Safety
and Health Program Audit is a
method to measure a firm's safety and health efforts against accepted
standards. It provides a means of measuring both documentation and
implementation of the safety and health program.
Audits
provide an accurate picture of
the safety & health of the organization so management can make
plans to
improve the situation. A good program will produce consistent
performance not
only in safety and health, but also in production with consideration to
cost
and quality.
